Dr Andrew Evans

Dr Andrew Evans specialised in neurology at the Royal Melbourne and Western Hospitals and the Kingston Centre and then carried out a movement disorders fellowship at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London where he completed a doctoral thesis in Nonmotor symptoms of Parkinson's disease. He is currently Director of Movement Disorders at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and is an Honorary Senior Fellow and Lecturer with the University of Melbourne.

Dr Andrew Evans' lifetime total of 6539 citations and 108 peer-reviewed publications place him in the top 1.2% of all published neurodegenerative disease authors worldwide.

He specializes in management and treatment of Parkinson's patients and other movement disorder patients, offering a range of device-aided therapies to patients with Parkinson's disease including Deep Brain Stimulation. As a consultant neurologist at the Melbourne Psychiatric Centre, Dr Andrew Evans also provides diagnosis and management of complex patients with a range of neurodegenerative syndromes including application and management of post-operative psychosurgery patients.
