The MDSANZ Scientific Meeting was held at the Adelaide Convention Centre on the 15-17 November 2019.
The Organising Committee would like to thank everyone who attended and in particular those who took the time to give presentations at the meeting.
Following a Movement Disorders Skills Workshop presented by an expert local faculty, the main scientific program commenced. We were privileged to have a wonderful faculty of local and international speakers across a broad range of stimulating and clinically relevant topics.
This year we gave particular emphasis to the multidisciplinary management of Parkinson's disease and related conditions. The program also covered a number of emerging challenges and controversies in the field of movement disorders. Special thanks to our three international invited speakers Professors Bastiaan Bloem (Netherlands), Janis Miyasaki (Canada) and Mark Edwards (UK), who presented wonderful lectures in their fields of interest and who also interacted and contributed throughout the course of the meeting.
Meetings such as this would not be possible without the generous support of our industry sponsors. Thank you to the following for their support: Seqirus, UCB Australia, MERZ, Pfizer, Abbott, AbbVie, Allergan, Boston Scientific, Brainlab, Global Kinetics, IPSEN, Medtronic, STADA Pharmaceuticals, and TEVA.
