From the 'mean-Māori-mean' cuisine that Karaka has to offer, there are tunes unique to Aotearoa, playing in the background. It's fair to say that Karaka Café is a comforting representation of New Zealand's melting pot, under one roof. A cultural experience and one that is unique to Wellington.

Based on the traditional Māori ground oven, i.e. "Hāngi" we are pleased to offer our oven-baked version. You will be pleasantly surprised at the similarities in flavours, as our chefs prepare your kai in our onsite oven smokers. This includes Pork, Chicken, Pumpkin, Carrot, Cabbage, Potato, Kumara and Stuffing.
