Where: The Auckland City Council hosted tours depart from the foyer of the SKYCITY Convention Centre on Federal Street (next to the SKYCITY Grand entrance)
Time: 10.00am - 12.30pm
Tickets: Delegates and partners may purchase tickets when registering at $35 per ticket

 

Auckland's Tupuna Maunga 

Co-governance is a world leading and evolving area of governance in which Treaty-based partnerships between mana whenua and local government are embedding a Te Ao Maori perspective in the management of some of our significant natural resources.  This tour will involve visiting three of the Tupuna Maunga (ancestral mountains/volcanic cones) and learning how this is being put into practice in the management of these taonga.

 This tour is limited to 35. Places will be allocated on a first in basis.


Toi o Tamaki: behind the scenes

Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki is New Zealand's largest and most inspiring visual arts experience. Join this 'behind the scenes' tour at one of Auckland's most iconic buildings, and learn about the role the Art Gallery plays in the Aotea Quarter, the city's arts and entertainment hub, and the Gallery's large and significant permanent collection of New Zealand art. The tour will conclude with a visit to the Art Gallery cafĂ©. 

This tour is limited to 20. Places will be allocated on a first in basis.


  

New Lynn: urban regeneration in a growing city

Visit New Lynn to see firsthand the regeneration of New Lynn town centre, one of Auckland's ten metropolitan centres earmarked for significant growth through to 2040. Hear about the work which has paved the way for the revitalisation of New Lynn, including a kilometre-long underground trench for the railway corridor, double tracking, the stunning and award-winning transport interchange, the Clark Street extension, Totara Ave's shared space and the redeveloped Todd Triangle and Gardner Reserve. Tour participants will return to Britomart station on the train.

Waiheke Island 

Date: Monday 24 July 
Time: 10.45am - 3.45pm
Ticket: $120.00 per person
Duration: 5 hours

Enjoy a two course lunch at Stonyridge Vineyard, one of Waiheke Islands longest established and best known vineyard restaurants. This tour includes ferry tickets, on-island transfers to and from the ferry and a two course lunch. Attendees are to meet at the Auckland ferry terminal at 10.45am for an 11.00am departure.
