Individuals or collaborative groups were invited to submit abstracts for sessions that related to the theme of The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners' Annual Conference and/or Quality Symposium outlined below.
ANNUAL CONFERENCE – FRIDAY 29 JULY TO SUNDAY 31 JULY 2016
The 2016 Conference theme is: Reflect, Renew, Replenish Mate atu he tetekura, ara mai he tetekura (When one frond dies another frond rises)
General practice is heading into a brave new world – non-communicable diseases, changes in demographics and workforce issues are driving us towards change. Many practices are adopting new strategies and approaches to their patient and whanau relationships. We encourage and welcome all in-practice and external healthcare providers, customers and other stakeholders to consider sharing their experiences and expectations.
Quality Symposium - THURSDAY 28 JULY 2016
The 2016 Quality Symposium theme is: What's your patient partnership promise?
The Quality Symposium will be held as a pre-conference day on Thursday 28 July 2016, with a focus on the relationship between GPs and their patients and the expectations they place on General Practitioners.
The programme committee welcomed submission of abstracts for:
- Professional development / CME presentations, posters & workshops
- Quality improvement
- Closing date for submission of abstracts was Tuesday 1 March 2016
- Review of submissions March and April 2016
- Notification of acceptance end of Thursday 15 April 2016
